Challenge

BlackBerry.com consists of thousands of pages for many different types of customers: from end users that buy phones to developers that need documentation to developer applications. Research In Motion's marketing department needed a way to effectively analyze traffic for this complex site with many different user flows. 

Process

Three months of site traffic data from Google Analytics was analyzed, and several different approaches were used to visualize the data. 

Solution

The final document was a heat map that reflected general traffic on the first level, and traffic within each section of the site at higher levels, allowing key stakeholders to easily identify which areas of the site needed more attention.
