Internships.com was an early stage startup that was in the process of developing their core product: a job board that would allow college students to find valuable internships with companies of all sizes. The management of Internships.com saw the site as a way to match great opportunities to students hungry for valuable internship experience.

Process

Interviews with in-house stakeholders and user research with local college students provided valuable insights on the target audience and their needs. Demographic and financial aid information was also considered when researching personas.

Solution

The final product was a set of wireframes, a site map, and high level personas that provided an initial target for design of the Internships.com site as they performed further research and built out the product management and development teams.
